The Roadmap is free. What costs money is the part a checklist cannot do.

Every guide, every step and the whole personalized Roadmap are free, permanently, for anyone who signs up. A paid plan buys the one thing a checklist cannot give you: a real person who knows Geneva admin, and who answers.

The part worth reading

What “fair-use support” actually means

Every plan that includes support says “fair use” and almost none of them say what that means. Here is mine, in plain terms, so you can hold me to it.

What it is

Ask as often as you genuinely need to, and I will not be counting. In practice that has meant anything from a handful of questions across a year to a short exchange most weeks while someone was actually moving.

Ask however you already work: WhatsApp, email or Teams. Answers Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm Geneva time, usually within one business day. Weekends are for genuinely urgent things.

What it is not

I answer questions and point you to the right step. I do not fill in your forms, file documents, or deal with an office on your behalf.

It is also not a substitute for a paid consultation, where the job is to work through your specific file in depth rather than answer a question about it.

And if your use stops looking like questions? If it starts to look like ongoing casework, I will say so plainly and we will talk about a consultation.

Without a plan

You can also just pay me once

Not everyone needs a subscription. If you have one thing to sort out, a consultation is priced by the job rather than by the clock, and you are told the number before you pay anything.

Quick answerCHF 50

One specific question

Answered in writing, usually within 2 hours during working hours and within one business day at most. No call and no document review, and a follow-up is a new quick answer. Message me on WhatsApp and I confirm the price before I answer.

Tier 1CHF 110

A clear question

One procedure or one decision, explained clearly, with the right documents and the forms filled in correctly.

Tier 2CHF 170

Your situation assessed

Several options to weigh, or several steps to sequence, looked at against your actual case, with the letters you need to act.

Tier 3CHF 240

Something is at stake

A deadline, a deposit or a dispute. I review your paperwork, work out your real options, and help you prepare your case as well as possible.

This is a different product from a plan, not a cheaper one. Fair-use support answers your questions. A consultation works through your own file in depth and produces the documents that go with it. Plenty of people never need one.

The conditions

The terms, before you pay rather than after

Nothing here should be a surprise later. If any of it seems unreasonable, tell me, I would rather hear it now.

Term
12 months from the day you subscribe. Not a monthly plan, because the support behind it is not a monthly commitment on my side either.
Renewal
Renews annually at the rate published here. Individual: your card is charged automatically each year unless you cancel first; I will still email you a heads-up beforehand. Employer: by default I send a fresh invoice before the renewal date and nothing is auto-charged; if you would rather not think about it, a card subscription renews and charges automatically each year instead, with the same email heads-up beforehand. Switch between the two any time from your dashboard.
Cancellation
Cancel any time, from your account (Individual: the subscription portal in Account & settings) or by one message. Your access runs to the end of the year you paid for, and it does not renew after that. No pro-rata refund for the unused part of the year.
Price changes
Your rate is fixed for the year you paid. Any change applies only at renewal, with at least 90 days’ notice. Founding employers keep their rate locked for 5 years, then keep a 20% discount below the standard rate, permanently.
If the plan ends
Your account and your Roadmap stay, free, exactly as they are. You keep every document you already generated. The paid features (included support, unlimited documents, the syncing calendar) simply stop.
Your data
Hosted in Switzerland, personal answers encrypted at rest. Export or delete everything yourself, at any time, whether you are paying or not. Deletion is immediate.
If GES winds down
Prepaid but unused time is refunded pro-rata, you get at least 60 days’ notice where that is feasible, and then a 90-day wind-down period in which your account stays open and read-only so you can export everything. After that it is securely deleted.
What this is not
Geneva Expat Solutions is not a law firm, a tax adviser, a relocation agency or an insurance broker. It is well-sourced guidance and a person who knows the process. For a binding opinion on your specific case, you want a professional in that field, and I will tell you when that is what you need.

Prices in Swiss francs. No VAT is charged, so the figures above are what you pay. Full terms are in the Terms of Service; this page is the plain-language version, and where the two ever disagree, that is a mistake on my side worth telling me about.

Samuel Chopard

The expert you are actually paying for

I am Samuel, a Geneva native, former HR Coordinator at CERN and Facilities & Logistics Coordinator at EFTA, and I started over abroad myself. Every answer on every plan above comes from me personally, never routed to a team or a queue. That is the whole reason the prices look the way they do. Read my story →

Not sure which one fits?

Tell me what you are dealing with, whether that is your own move, your family’s, or how many people you relocate a year, and I will tell you honestly which plan is worth it for you. Including “stay on the free one”, if that is the answer.
