Welcome to Geneva Expat Solutions, operated by S. Chopard Consulting (referred to as “I”, “me”, or “my” in these terms of services), a sole proprietorship. By using my services, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

2. Description of Services
S. Chopard Consulting offers consulting services for expats settling in Geneva. I provide expert guidance on various aspects of relocation, real estate, day-to-day life, and navigating challenges that come with settling in Geneva. Clients can book individual calls or as a question via instant messaging (such as WhatsApp). Templates (such as letters) are also available for sale.
Please note, I am strictly an advisor, offering insights and support. I do not perform tasks on behalf of clients but provide the guidance needed to tackle challenges independently.
3. Limitations of Service
- Not a legal, financial, or real estate professional: I am not a lawyer, real estate agent, official translator, or financial advisor. My services do not replace professional legal, financial, or real estate advice.
- No guarantee of outcomes: while I strive to offer the best possible guidance, I do not guarantee specific results (e.g., successful relocation assistance, residence permit approvals, or contract outcomes).
- Client responsibilities: clients are responsible for providing accurate information and making final decisions.
- Availability: I will respond to client inquiries as promptly as possible
- Limited liability: I am not liable for outcomes outside my control, including third-party actions, government decisions, or market conditions.
- Working hours: Monday to Sunday, from 08:00 to 19:00 CET.
4. Pricing and Payments
- Fees: Services (calls and help via instant messaging) and templates are priced as outlined on my website.
- Payment methods: I accept payments via credit card, debit card, Twint, Klarna and other methods as specified. The payments are processed by Stripe.
- Billing: payments must be made in advance unless otherwise agreed.
- Late payments: outstanding balances may be subject to additional fees.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Rescheduling: clients may reschedule their calls once, free of charge, up to 1 hour before the scheduled time. Cancellations within 1 hour of the call will be considered a no-show, and no refund will be issued.
- Refunds: clients may cancel their order within 48 hours of payment for a full refund. The 48-hour cancellation policy does not apply if you cancel or reschedule within 1 hour of a scheduled call. In that case, no refund will be issued for that call under any circumstances, regardless of when the payment was made. After 48 hours, cancellation and refunds are no longer possible (the 48-hour period includes weekends, holidays and non-business hours).
- No refunds for completed calls: once a call has taken place, no refunds will be issued.
- No refunds for completed “Instant Answer” conversations: once a question was asked via instant messaging, and an answer was provided, no refunds will be issued.
- No refunds for templates: all sales of templates are final. Due to the digital nature of these products, no refunds or exchanges will be issued after purchase.
6. Usage Terms
“Instant Answer” and “30-Minute Call”: the “Instant Answer” and “30-Minute Call” must be used within 1 month from the date of purchase. If left unused, it will expire after this period and will not be refundable.
Templates: clients may purchase and download templates for personal use only. Redistribution, sharing with others, or commercial use is prohibited. All content is protected by copyright and cannot be copied, reproduced, or used without permission. Any infringement of these terms may result in legal action.
Knowledge Hub: the Knowledge Hub is provided as a free resource for informational purposes only. While efforts are made to ensure the accuracy of the content, it is offered “as is” without guarantees. Users may access the hub at their discretion and share the link, but copying, reproducing, or republishing the content for resale or on other websites is prohibited. Any infringement may result in legal action.
7. Client Conduct
Clients are expected to provide truthful information and engage with my services respectfully. I reserve the right to refuse service to individuals who engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior.
8. Intellectual Property
All materials provided by Geneva Expat Solutions, including documents and articles, are the property of S. Chopard Consulting and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
S. Chopard Consulting is not liable for indirect or consequential damages resulting from my services. Clients agree to hold me harmless for any issues arising from their decisions or external factors beyond my control.
10. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Geneva, Switzerland.
11. Changes to These Terms
I reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes via email or website announcement.
