2. Description of Services
Geneva Expat Solutions provides information, guidance, administrative support, relocation assistance, the Geneva Roadmap planning tool, and related consulting services to individuals and organizations, including as an employer-sponsored benefit for teams. Sessions and support may be delivered by phone, video call, email, messaging apps such as WhatsApp, or Microsoft Teams.
Services may include, but are not limited to:
- Relocation and settling-in support
- Guidance on housing, local administration, and day-to-day life in Geneva
- Assistance with navigating local procedures and services
- The Geneva Roadmap, available directly or as an employer-sponsored benefit for teams, including an aggregate-only HR dashboard for sponsoring employers
- Customized support services upon request
- Ready-to-use documents, letters, and checklists available through the online Toolkit
- Services described on individual service pages and Knowledge Hub articles
Services are advisory and support-based in nature. Unless explicitly agreed otherwise, Geneva Expat Solutions does not act on behalf of clients or organizations and does not provide legal, tax, immigration, financial, or regulated professional services.
3. Limitations of Service
- Not a legal, tax, immigration, financial, or real estate professional: services are provided for informational and support purposes only and do not replace advice from qualified professionals.
- No guarantee of outcomes: Geneva Expat Solutions does not guarantee any specific outcome, including but not limited to successful applications, registrations, housing arrangements, employment-related outcomes, or agreements with third parties.
- Client responsibilities: clients remain responsible for verifying information, making decisions, signing agreements, submitting applications, and communicating with third parties.
- Third-party services: Geneva Expat Solutions is not responsible for the actions, decisions, availability, pricing, or performance of landlords, employers, government authorities, banks, insurers, service providers, partners, or other third parties.
- Employment and HR matters: while the Geneva Roadmap employer offer may involve assisting employees and supporting HR teams, Geneva Expat Solutions does not make employment decisions on behalf of client organizations and is not responsible for hiring decisions, disciplinary actions, compensation decisions, terminations, employment contracts, immigration approvals, payroll administration, or compliance with employment laws.
- Availability: while every effort will be made to respond promptly, response times are not guaranteed unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Pricing and Payments
- Fees: fees are communicated on the relevant service page, Knowledge Hub article, proposal, quotation, invoice, or other written agreement provided to the client.
- Payment methods: I accept payments via credit card, debit card, Twint, Klarna, PayPal and other methods as specified. Card payments are processed by Stripe; PayPal payments are processed by PayPal. I also accept payments via bank transfers.
- Receipts and invoices: a payment receipt is emailed automatically for document purchases; advisory sessions and Geneva Roadmap employer subscriptions are billed by invoice.
- Geneva Roadmap Individual plan: billed as a recurring annual subscription (currently CHF 500/year), charged automatically to the payment card on file each year unless cancelled beforehand. Processed by Stripe.
- Billing: payments must be made in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Late payments: outstanding balances may be subject to additional fees.
- Taxes: prices shown do not include VAT. I operate Geneva Expat Solutions individually and am not based in Switzerland or VAT-registered there, so no VAT is charged on my fees.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Refund eligibility depends on the nature of the service purchased and any specific conditions stated on the relevant service page, Knowledge Hub article, proposal, quotation, invoice, or written agreement.
- Unless otherwise stated, clients may cancel a purchased service within 48 hours of payment for a full refund, provided that no work has commenced and no service has been delivered.
- Once work has commenced, a service has been delivered, or digital content has been provided, refunds are no longer available.
- Subscription-based services such as a Geneva Roadmap employer subscription may be canceled according to the cancellation terms communicated in the relevant agreement or service description.
- The Geneva Roadmap Individual plan may be cancelled at any time, from your account or by contacting me. Cancellation stops future renewal; access to the paid features continues until the end of the period already paid for, with no pro-rata refund for the unused part of that period, except as provided under Section 10 if Geneva Expat Solutions ceases operations.
- Geneva Expat Solutions reserves the right to assess refund requests on a case-by-case basis where exceptional circumstances apply.
6. Service-Specific Terms
Certain services may be subject to additional terms, conditions, pricing, eligibility requirements, usage periods, cancellation policies, or service limitations. Such terms will be communicated on the relevant service page, Knowledge Hub article, proposal, quotation, invoice, or written agreement and shall form part of these Terms.
Geneva Roadmap employer/seat subscriptions, and any other services provided to organizations under a signed agreement, are subject to that separate written agreement between Geneva Expat Solutions and the client organization. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and a client-specific agreement, the client-specific agreement shall prevail.
Subscription-Based Services
Certain services may be provided on a recurring subscription basis. Support requests are usually answered within one business day (Monday to Friday, Geneva time); this is a target, not a guaranteed response time, service-level agreement (SLA), or continuous availability. This target does not apply during periods of incapacity, such as illness, hospitalization, or leave, when replies may take longer. Any guaranteed response time or SLA must be expressly agreed in writing.
Toolkit: Templates, Documents, and Checklists
The Toolkit provides ready-to-use documents, letters, and checklists that you complete with your own details, pay for once, and download as a PDF. These resources, along with any other templates, guides, and digital resources, are provided for personal or internal business use only unless otherwise stated. Redistribution, resale, sharing, or commercial exploitation without permission is prohibited.
Toolkit documents and checklists are generated from the information you provide. You remain responsible for reviewing each document for accuracy, completeness, and suitability before using or sending it. Toolkit resources are informational and do not constitute legal, tax, immigration, or other regulated professional advice.
To make the Toolkit easier to use, the details you enter into a document form are saved temporarily in your own browser for up to 24 hours, so you can return to them without starting over. This stays on your device until you choose to proceed to payment; see the Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
Where a document or checklist is offered with an optional support option, that support is provided for the stated period, for example 30 days, on a fair-use basis: short, specific questions relating to that document or checklist, answered by WhatsApp, email, or Microsoft Teams. Support of this kind is not a substitute for a full advisory session, and no guaranteed response time or service-level agreement applies unless expressly agreed in writing. If a letter you need is not yet available in the Toolkit, I may create it free of charge and add it to the Toolkit for future use.
Geneva Roadmap
The Geneva Roadmap is a free, personalized planning tool that provides general guidance on relocation and settling-in administration, such as suggested steps, deadlines, and relevant documents. It does not constitute legal, tax, immigration, or financial advice, and does not guarantee any particular outcome. Where an employer provides access to the Geneva Roadmap for its employees, that access is governed by a separate written agreement as described above.
Where support is included with the Geneva Roadmap, including as part of an employer subscription, it is provided on a fair-use basis: reasonable questions answered by WhatsApp, email, or Microsoft Teams, for example clarifying a step or pointing to the right document or resource. This support does not include completing tasks, forms, or documents on the client’s or employee’s behalf, and is not a substitute for a full paid advisory session or consultation. Support of this kind carries no guaranteed response time or service-level agreement unless expressly agreed in writing. Where an employer subscription includes a short onboarding call for each new arrival, that benefit is also provided on this fair-use basis and is not capped at a fixed number of calls; if staff turnover results in an unusually high number of calls over a short period, I will discuss with the employer what is sustainable going forward.
The Geneva Roadmap Individual plan is an optional paid subscription (currently CHF 500 per year) that adds fair-use support, unlimited Toolkit documents, the auto-syncing calendar and the family plan on top of the free Roadmap. It renews automatically each year at the rate then in effect, charged to the payment card on file, unless cancelled beforehand; I will email a reminder before each renewal charge. The rate for a subscription already in effect is fixed for the year paid; any price change applies only from the next renewal, with at least 90 days’ notice. The subscription may be cancelled at any time from your account or by contacting me, in which case access to the paid features continues to the end of the period already paid for, with no pro-rata refund except as provided under Section 10. Where an employer instead sponsors Geneva Roadmap seats for its employees under a separate written agreement, that agreement’s terms govern billing and renewal for those seats.
Knowledge Hub
The Knowledge Hub is provided for informational purposes only. While reasonable efforts are made to keep information accurate and up to date, all content is provided “as is” without warranties or guarantees of completeness, accuracy, or suitability for any particular purpose.
7. Client Conduct
Clients are expected to provide truthful information and engage with my services respectfully. I reserve the right to refuse service to individuals who engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior.
8. Intellectual Property
All content provided by Geneva Expat Solutions, including but not limited to articles, guides, templates, documents, resources, service descriptions, graphics, and website content, remains the intellectual property of Geneva Expat Solutions unless otherwise stated.
Such content may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, republished, sold, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
Geneva Expat Solutions provides guidance, information, and support services based on information available at the time services are provided.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Geneva Expat Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of its services.
Clients remain solely responsible for their decisions, actions, applications, contractual agreements, and communications with third parties.
Liability for events outside the reasonable control of Geneva Expat Solutions is expressly excluded.
10. If Geneva Expat Solutions Ceases Operations
If I permanently cease offering Geneva Expat Solutions’ services, I will give at least 60 days’ notice where feasible, by email or website announcement; provide a wind-down grace period so you are not left without warning; refund any prepaid, unused portion of a Geneva Roadmap Individual or employer subscription on a pro-rata basis; and give you the opportunity to export your data before it is securely deleted.
11. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Geneva, Switzerland.
12. Changes to These Terms
I reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes via email or website announcement.
For questions, please contact me via my website’s Contact page: GenevaExpatSolutions.ch/Contact.
By using my services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
